Hello there. Welcome to my little part of the website. I’m so happy you’re here. I’m Xuan (English pronunciation Sue Anne). In life, there are times, places and spaces where we may feel unheard, unseen, and overlooked. Unfortunately those feelings are multiplied when marginalized identities such as race, gender identity, and ability status come into play. As a first generation disabled Asian American, I bring all of my identities to the table without shame and encourage others to do the same. When we bring our whole authentic selves to the table, we are giving permission for others to do the same.

I have extensive experience in both disability advocacy and career counseling and have spent a great number of those years creating spaces of belonging for those identifying with a disability in spaces of employment. I use a person centered approach with a lens of intersectionality to create an environment that is empowering and inviting.

So I invite you to connect, share space, and break bread with me. Whether you are struggling with career related issues, or need support in finding belonging, let’s see if we’re the right fit. Whether or not you decide to share this part of your journey with me, I hope you find a space where you can be seen and authentically known.

Xuan (English speakers can call her Sue Anne) obtained her BA in International Studies from North Carolina State University where she had the opportunity to study abroad in London. She later moved back to Charlotte, her hometown and enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received her Masters of Social Work. Xuan is a trained EMDR therapist with lived experience as a person with disabilities and other minority identities. During her personal time, she can be found playing with her bunny, testing out french fries from local establishments, and crafting candy bouquets.
